Is The White House Filled With Stupid Or Just Bigoted People?

“During Monday’s briefing, Spicer read a statement about the attack that killed six people at the Islamic Cultural Centre of Quebec City, saying “we condemn this attack in the strongest possible terms.”

He went on to say, “It’s a terrible reminder of why we must remain vigilant and why the president is taking steps to be proactive rather than reactive when it comes to our nation’s safety and security.””

See The White House Just Used The Quebec Mosque Shooting To Justify Trump’s Travel Ban
Remember last weekend when Spicer spouted “alternative facts” about crowds visible in photos? Well, he’s back, justifying barring Muslims from entry to USA by citing a killing by a Canadian-born right-winger of 6 Muslims at prayer in a mosque…

The mind boggles at the leap of logic. Is he saying if we’d kept Muslims out, they would be alive today? Is he blaming the victims of murder for banning other victims fleeing persecution/war? I just don’t have words to describe this level of stupidity. Trump is the problem, not Muslims, and the believers in Trumpism add to the problem.

Do we have to put up a wall around the Whitehouse and administer an IQ test before anyone can enter?

See I am ashamed of the country I once served. That’s a reference to USA…

    “The “hot” molecules leave”

Yes, over the past weeks, more and more Canadians that I know have inquired about leaving for America.

  3. dougman wrote, “it is about keeping bad people (with bad intentions) out of country!”

No, it isn’t. There have been no terrorists from those 7 countries reach USA under the previous conditions. Compare it to banning handguns because someone actually committed a murder with one. Surely, that would accomplish something, yet it’s the wrong thing to do for many reasons. Keeping refugees out of the country does nothing to prevent terrorism. Terrorism is an idea, not people. That idea can come into the country on the web, in an envelope, by radio, by paper airplane over the Great Wall of Trump, or by recitation. Do you know many Muslims celebrate their religion by memorizing the Quran? Think a terrorist in Saudi Arabia couldn’t get the best and brightest on his way to USA for a PhD in engineering to carry some document in his head? Oh, wait, Saudi was not even on the list…

What the order has already done and what it will continue to do is to create a furor where USA’s allies and enemies alike will think USA is more evil than they had ever thought. Trump is ruining the brand.

  4. dougman wrote, “So 50% of your nation will become worse then Europe in less than 20-years.”

Immigration is a process of diffusion. The “hot” molecules leave in the greatest numbers, so we’re importing the best and the brightest. It’s all good.

  5. dougman says:

So you won’t look for the word “muslim” in the EO, I knew you wouldn’t. Pogsey is arguing that it is a BAN. Call it what you want, it is about keeping bad people (with bad intentions) out of country!

I think you should focus on your own country, for instance.

    https://www.nytimes.com/2017/01/31/world/americas/canada-quebec-nationalists.html

Last week, Statistics Canada reported that by 2036, nearly half of all Canadians would be immigrants or the children of immigrants — most of them what the country calls “visible minorities”

So 50% of your nation will become worse then Europe in less than 20-years. Taharrush Gamea and Bacha bazi, coming soon to Winnipeg.

Giuliani: “President Trump wanted a “Muslim ban” and requested he assemble a commission to show him “the right way to do it legally.”

Giuliani, an early Trump supporter who once had been rumored for a Cabinet position in the new administration, appeared on Fox News late Saturday night to describe how Trump’s executive order temporarily banning refugees came together.”

So, the text of the order does not support that but the intent clearly was there.

See Trump asked for a ‘Muslim ban,’ Giuliani says — and ordered a commission to do it ‘legally’

You’ll notice Trump didn’t put any of his buddies on the list: Saudi Arabia, Qatr, and UAE, despite them being sources of terror. He put countries that have never sent terrorists to USA, because they are full of Muslims. Further, Trump said when he opens the gates he will give preference to Christians and he said Christians could not get out of Syria because Obama was a Muslim-lover. That’s false. About as many Christians as Muslims have come to USA from Syria.

  7. dougman says:

Barring Muslims? It is NOT a “Muslim ban.” Search the Executive Order in yourself for mentions of Islam, or any other religion.

Back to reading Buzzfeed again are we? I suspect your source of egregious information will be sued for libel in short order.

Analogous to the WeeklyWorldNews, about the only time people read such material is when they are on the toilet, speaks volumes eh?
