Trump Overrated

“US President-elect Donald Trump has hit back at Meryl Streep’s criticism of him as she received a lifetime achievement award at the Golden Globes.

He tweeted: “Meryl Streep, one of the most overrated actresses in Hollywood, doesn’t know me but attacked last night at the Golden Globes.”

See Donald Trump calls Meryl Streep ‘overrated’ after Golden Globes speech
Following his usual recipe, the thin-skinned POETUSPOS attacks Streep the messenger rather than her message. Streep has won a truckload of Academy Awards and Golden Globe Awards. She’s well rated. He’s an ignorant twit, full of himself and utterly incapable of doing the job of POTUS which is not to insult as many people as possible. He’s supposed to be an executive above the fray not criticizing everyone like a drunken sailor. He has no judgment and has earned all the criticism he has received in the last year or so. Unfortunately too many voters decided to ignore his obvious faults and hoped for a magical future. It isn’t happening. What we saw is what we will get until he’s impeached or dies in office.

Streep knows him. He’s been all over TV and the Internet for months, repeating and repeating and threepeating the most inane statements imaginable. If he is brilliant, why are his utterances so ignorant? If he is wise, why are his utterances so unwise? If he’s so responsible, why does he keep claiming we don’t understand the clear meaning of his words and actions? He’s a hopeless candidate for POTUS. The world’s only hope is that he stays on Twitter for four years continuously so that he doesn’t break anything or push the wrong button.

  1. dougman says:

Pogsey, Trump has mocked other, non-disabled people in exactly the same fashion. In fact, Trump has done the same arm movement thing for a very long time. There are videos of him spanning a decade making the same motion.

Here’s a nice montage of him doing the same when imitating several people with no such physical disability.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5aYFC_7ZIn4&t=97s

t’s not Trump’s fault that the public is too lazy to do independent research to verify mainstream news claims. Serge Kovaleski’s arm stays still, his head doesn’t shake, his body doesn’t flail around, it’s embarrassing that someone thinks the Washington Post readers are so incredibly stupid that they would attempt such a fluff piece.

You sir are incredibly naive, ignorant and delusional. The media is reaching for straws here, and you are lapping it up like a Pavlovian dog. If anything you should be looking at Trudeau’s activities: http://www.cbc.ca/news/politics/ethics-commissioner-trudeau-aga-khan-1.3927846

  2. dougman repeats the lies, just like Trump does, “Additionally, the person that is supposedly “handicapped” is not even that. he just has a “gimped” hand. “

See The Washington Post. Are they lying?

“Trump’s charge that Kovaleski “changed his story” is not accurate. Trump was referring to coverage of his own, false claim that on Sept. 11, 2001, he “watched in Jersey City, N.J., where thousands and thousands of people were cheering as [the World Trade Center] was coming down.””

    and

“Meryl Streep was right. Donald Trump did mock a disabled reporter.”

  3. dougman wrote, “Reporters in the lame stream media ARE liars. Look at the entire lot that stated that Trump would not win the election, are you blind? “

Yes, there have been a few liars, but the statement above is a vast over-generalization. The entire lot did not say Trump would not win. They reported that Hillary was ahead in the polls. She was. She won the popular vote handily. The polls weren’t wrong. Don’t you understand how polls work? There can be sampling errors and normal deviations. Those aren’t lies. Those are errors. Even Trump was surprised that he won. He didn’t win by much just a few key states and a few thousand votes…

  4. dougman says:

“Trump has constantly bullied reporters calling them liars and worse and making a joke of a handicapped reporter’s flailing. ”

Reporters in the lame stream media ARE liars. Look at the entire lot that stated that Trump would not win the election, are you blind?

And yet again, I provided two videos that prove without a doubt the false narrative that Trump mocked a handicapped person. Why is it that you keep believing this lie?

Citing an embedded CNN video does nothing to reinforce your story. Why not post the actual link? Gee, look at all those down votes!!

Additionally, the person that is supposedly “handicapped” is not even that. he just has a “gimped” hand.

Pogsey, you need to get over that fact that Trump won and starting composing IT stories, this political stuff is not becoming of you.

  5. dougman wrote, “Streep has no tolerance for Trump “bullying” a reporter, which has been proven time and time again to be false”.

Trump has constantly bullied reporters calling them liars and worse and making a joke of a handicapped reporter’s flailing. That’s reality.

  6. dougman says:

Well Pogsey, I don’t know about you these days. Standing in lock-step with hollyweird on issues will get you know where fast. Just be aware that Meryl Streep, by using her platform to bash Trump, also used it to give convicted rapist Roman Polanski a standing ovation, when he won the Academy Award for Best Director for “The Pianist” in 2003.

Thank about that and let it sink in.

Streep has no tolerance for Trump “bullying” a reporter, which has been proven time and time again to be false, but will go as far to stand in adoration of a “child rapist”.

Obviously, you believe a false narrative and will defend it vehemently, but to defend a hollyweird actor such as her? Where is your sense of dignity??

Your nothing but a liberal socialist, non-ass wiping, Muslim lover that regurgitates television ad nauseam.

  7. dougman wrote, “Respect by other libtards”.

So, you are incapable of respecting thoughtful people, eh?

That’s “circular logic”: assume something and everything else follows.

    Here are some facts:

    • The New York Observer is Kushner’s paper. It endorsed Trump.
    • It employed Oliver Jones.
    • Oliver Jones wrote this review of Meryl Streep, of her latter career:“As shown in Florence Foster Jenkins, a comic lark that packs a satisfying emotional wallop and continues the balls-to-the-wall career victory lap Meryl Streep has been on since turning 60 years old seven years ago…”

Ahem. Kushner has just been named Trump’s “Senior Advisor”. So, by circular logic beloved by dougman, Trump is being advised by a “libtard”. I guess that’s appropriate since Trump fits that description rather well being neither conservative, moderate nor intelligent.

For the greater certainty, I believe that conservatives don’t advise groping women. Conservatives I know see it as a man’s duty to protect women. Conservative women I know see it as a woman’s duty to fix up all the things men mess up. Trump is trying to wreck things and he doesn’t respect anyone, even women. How many women are in his cabinet? How many of those women have the important posts? Conservatives I know see the role of government should be limited to doing what individuals and small groups cannot, things like maintaining a national military, guarding borders and negotiating treaties with other countries (Universal Healthcare too). Trump is actively using government to pick winners and losers in the market. Trump is actively seeking to rake in $billions from his global corporation while influencing governments around the world to deal with him. That’s plain corruption, not conservatism. Intelligent people don’t say one thing one day and another contradictory thing the next and claim everyone misunderstands them. That’s immature, selfish, thin-skinned behaviour, totally incompatible with the leader of a nation and certainly not conservative of the values of the nation.

  8. dougman, wearing rose-coloured glasses, wrote, “Streep’s little rant did NOT go over well with conservatives. You know, that entire half of our country that voted Trump into the White House.”

Conservatives did not vote for Trump. He’s not conservative. He’s a flaming radical bent on destroying all that conservatives hold dear: truth, the constitution and equality for the little guy. Trump may say some conservative things but he’ll say something different the next day. Lately, he’s saying he can do whatever he wants in the Whitehouse, just like King Trump I. Angry people, out of their senses, voted for Trump, not conservatives.

Deluded, totally, dougman wrote, “Trump has done more in the past two-months then Obama has donw in the course of eight damn years, and trump is not EVEN in office yet.”

Trump has done nothing for the workers. He’s hired a bunch of billionaires who haven’t worked in decades. He’s busy threatening businesses who maximize results. That’s going to bankrupt businesses or drive them out of USA. Obama dug USA out of a recession and put out fires in banking and auto-manufacturing that the GOP had ignited. Now they claim Obama was the problem.

  9. dougman says:

“Streep is very respected in her profession.”

Respect by other libtards, correct Pogsey.

“She is not a nitwit nor radical just a fine actress with opinions of her own.”

Streep said Trump’s victory had left her “screaming in lamentation,” and that she had literally cried over the fact he will be our next president.

Well, now she’s got something else to cry about. Streep’s little rant did NOT go over well with conservatives. You know, that entire half of our country that voted Trump into the White House. That enormous sector of society that buys at least half the tickets for those movies Streep stars in and insulting conservatives from inside her privileged glass bubble will hurt her future movie prospects.

“In fact, her net worth is ~$45million and although she is getting on in years, her recent films have made tons of money.”

So, as if that really means anything. Hillary spent a BILLION dollars in the presidental race and lost. Let that sink in! Being rich, does not mean you are successful in life. In fact, being rich often times leads one to be VERY lonely.

“So, where’s all the consideration of the working class, eh?”

Well, let see Pogsey. Trump has done more in the past two-months then Obama has donw in the course of eight damn years, and trump is not EVEN in office yet.

  10. dougman says:

“She had only a few minutes before she would get “the hook”. In that time she could not bring up everything that mattered so she just hit a few balls out of the park.”

She had five minutes. Lots of pauses and ahhhs, and ummmms during that time period. Don’t make excuses for the woman, to her, you are a peon.

  11. dougman wrote, ” This nitwit of an actor, reminds the American people how little we care about what the hell they say”.

Well, the same could be said about some of the drivel found in these comments. Streep is very respected in her profession. She is not a nitwit nor radical just a fine actress with opinions of her own. In fact, her net worth is ~$45million and although she is getting on in years, her recent films have made tons of money. She’s done pretty well for a girl from New Jersey, daughter of two working stiffs. There was no silver spoon in her mouth nor a rich daddy. So, where’s all the consideration of the working class, eh?

  12. dougman wrote, “I didn’t hear her use her platform last night, to give a shout-out to the mentally challenged boy who last week was tortured live on Facebook for half an hour, in Chicago.”

She had only a few minutes before she would get “the hook”. In that time she could not bring up everything that mattered so she just hit a few balls out of the park.

  13. dougman says:

I for one am glad that Meryl Streep has such a passion for the disabled.

Seriously, because I didn’t hear her weigh in and I didn’t hear her use her platform last night, to give a shout-out to the mentally challenged boy who last week was tortured live on Facebook for half an hour, in Chicago.

  14. dougman says:

Here is another, all for your viewing pleasure.

A tearful Meryl Streep calls out Donald Trump during her speech at the 2017 Golden Globes for what she claims was him ‘mocking’ a disabled reporter during one of his rallies when he was running for president.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9m7iA7QZBi4

  15. dougman says:

Lets stand up and look down to get a bigger picture, shall we? This nitwit of an actor, reminds the American people how little we care about what the hell they say. The only people listening to her drivel other liberals like yourself Pogsey.

“It was that moment when the person asking to sit in the most respected seat in our country imitated a disabled reporter”

My god, that’s not even true! I find it humorous how far the left still believes their own bullshit.

Gavin breaks down the entire story Pogsey; perhaps you should do more research as well before writing a critical blog entry.
