Comment On Comments

Sigh.

There’s a vulnerability out about huge comments getting past filters. I’ve had to disable automatic comments until that’s fixed. Your comments won’t appear until I’ve approved each one.

Sorry…

It’s a rainy day here, so I may be able to keep the flow going for today. 🙁

UPDATE – Apparently, I can trigger the vulnerability just by viewing comments so none will be approved for the time being.

About Robert Pogson

I am a retired teacher in Canada. I taught in the subject areas where I have worked for almost forty years: maths, physics, chemistry and computers. I love hunting, fishing, picking berries and mushrooms, too.

I’m fully aware that many Linux enthusiasts have little contact with the real world, but even I wouldn’t go so far as to suspect that they are secret psychopaths or axe-murderers.

    What about Hans Reiser?

It’s hard to believe some of these folks are not psychopaths/axe-murderers.

Oh, come now, Robert. I’m fully aware that many Linux enthusiasts have little contact with the real world, but even I wouldn’t go so far as to suspect that they are secret psychopaths or axe-murderers. The occasional gun-nut, yes. Perhaps even mild paranoia directed at faceless corporations. But generally your commenters are completely incapable of inflicting harm on anybody.

    🙂

It’s not really my style and I am retired. If I wanted an office job, I would not have retired. As in reality, it’s too bad commentators can’t moderate themselves. The only place I know in the real world where folks are so aggressive is outside the bars when they shut down at night and flush out the drunks. It’s hard to believe some of these folks are not psychopaths/axe-murderers.

Moderation against trolls is a good idea in any event. You should have to approve of every comment. If there is no real content, then it should not appear.

Neutral comment here, Robert. Good work, best of luck, carry on.
