Lenovo Wants to be Number One in PCs. Look What They Do in India.

Lenovo has set a target to be the number one shipper of PCs globally in 2012. They are off to a good start clinching a deal for 300K (3 lakh) notebooks running GNU/Linux for ELCOT in the Tamil Nadu state of India. This is the first installment in a plan to distribute 6.8 million machines (68 lakh) in a five-year plan. This deal, all by itself, will make Lenovo number one shipper in India.
