Yes. There are Arab influences from France, through north Africa and all the way to India resulting from trade, maths, science and expansion of Islam in ancient times but even today with the influence of oil and politics. The Arab influence goes a long way south in Africa for the same reasons. In modern times the Arab-Israeli conflict has displaced people of Arab descent around the world. I have read that Islam has 2 billion adherents and the fundamental text, the Quran, is written in Arabic.
I spent 3 years in Saudi Arabia working at a hospital making radio-isotopes. Things are very different there from what I experienced anywhere in Canada, except perhaps in northern communities where a distinct language and culture and isolation makes life amongst aboriginal Canadians quite different. Customs are different. Ways of solving problems are different. Priorities are different. Personal limitations are different. In the north live humans who know how to survive without fuel at -40C. In some Arab countries live humans who know how to survive in the desert at +50C.
What does anonymous think “Arab” means? It is an ethnic group and not a Geographic location.
CIA World Factbook:
Ethnic groups:
Berber and Arab 97%, other 3% (includes Greeks, Maltese, Italians, Egyptians, Pakistanis, Turks, Indians, and Tunisians)
Religions:
Sunni Muslim (official) 97%, other 3%
Languages:
Arabic (official), Italian, English
note: all are widely understood in the major cities
Isn’t that Arab enough for you?
Libya is not an Arab country. It is in North Africa.
