China v USA: Who Loves Freedom More?

In politics this question has so many angles and firmly-held beliefs getting in the way of facts. In IT, however, we have objective measures like Google Trends ( red=that other OS, blue=Android, orange=Linux) :

Well, it turns out they both love that other OS more than freedom but at least in China, Android and Linux get equal time. It never ceases to amaze me that “the land of freedom” supports monopoly more strongly than any other nation on Earth. The USA fought off the yoke of the British monarchy, freed the slaves at great cost of blood and treasure, fought tyranny around the world in several wars and yet allows M$ to monopolize IT. That is sick. Slaves usually must be forced into servitude.

Canada is no better. Sigh.
