Walker Digital v World

Walker Digital is suing the world over use of its invention of “friending” and 14 other inventions. They are suing 100 businesses that use the Internet. This is just plain silly. They want to be paid for re-inventing the wheel, all combinations of numbers that total “2”, etc. We see once again that software-patents and business-methods patents don’t make much sense. People keep filing patent-applications, USPTO keeps issuing patents and people keep suing the world, wanting money for nothing. The courts, Supremes or legislators had better wake up or USA will go down the toilet, spending more time in court than at work. Pretty soon every employee will need a lawyer looking over his/her shoulder to do anything for fear of lawsuits.
