Almost Small Enough PC

The Register has a review of a small cheap PC. It comes with FreeDOS and Atom but it burns 21W and has a fan. The reviewer got no sound after installing Ubuntu but there is a simple fix here.

One wonders why this OEM bothers to ship FreeDOS instead of GNU/Linux. I wonder why they did not use ARM to get rid of the fan and some additional price.

I don’t see any FUD in it. It just wished they’d preinstalled them.

They have a bad case of FUD.
