What Goes Around Comes Around

There were flickers of hope when Senator Collins of Maine spent hours studying the report from the FBI on Kavanaugh’s background. It turns out she had made her mind up and was digging for supporting evidence. What disgusted me was that she conveniently neglected to note that the FBI did not interview one witness listed by the victims of Kavanaugh so long ago.

Jen Psaki Tweeted, “who wants to run for Senate in Maine? there will be an army of supporters with you” and Susan Rice responded in the affirmative. So, Collins is toast in the next election. Her hold on Maine was 68% the last time. Next time she will be out as Kavanaugh will be a millstone around her neck. It’s the 21st century. Collins just can’t support a serial rapist against a woman and get away with it. Her excuse that there was no evidence against Kavanaugh is a lie. Trump made sure of that. If you tell the FBI not to interview people who phoned the TIP line or who were named by the accusers what evidence will they find? I’m 100% sure that K had a serious drinking problem at the time of the offence and he lied to the Senate about it. The FBI could have dug a little deeper for a few more days and found lots of dirt but they avoided that cutting short a “week” long investigation to just three days.

No, Collins is a liar just like K and every man and woman in Maine knows it. Everyone campaigning against Collins will use that truth repeatedly. Both liberals and conservatives and independents and free thinkers will know that she has to go. There’s no point in Maine sending her back to Washington to deliver sober second thought when she’s just an apologist for Trump. Trump’s popularity in Maine has fallen 14% since the last election. It must be a lot lower now. Trumpism is the number 1 issue in the election in Maine for the other seat in the Senate now held by an independent, King.
