COLLUSION! COLLUSION! COLLUSION!

There! Trump seems to think repetition is equivalent to reliability. I know there was collusion between Trump and the Russians. Perhaps he gets the message now that the first prosecutions have started.

This is not one of his conspiracy theories. Mueller has multiple reliable witnesses and documents proving Trump and the Russians were interested in working together to defeat Hillary Clinton. They had motive, opportunity and now the means are clear. It’s also illegal for an election campaign for president to be aided by a foreign government. That’s a crime.

Collusion: “An agreement between two or more persons to defraud a person of his rights, by the forms of law, or to obtain an object forbidden by law.”

Manafort had been working for Russian interests for many years and was extravagantly paid. He had so much money tied up in foreign banks that he couldn’t spend that he alerted the FBI by his many expensive purchases and bank-transfers as payments. Folks should realize by now that Trump’s belief that rich people are smart is not always true… Trump has surrounded himself with like-thinking criminals and covert racists and bigots as well as really stupid people who think we will believe whatever crap they repeat often.

The Internet was used to flood millions with fake news damaging Hillary’s reputation. Hillary and the DNC e-mails were obtained illegally too. So, there are lots of crimes to go around and Mueller is sweeping up various criminals in Trump’s gang for lying and cheating in other ways. Expect more shoes to fall soon. I’d bet there are juries that would convict Trump on the evidence already obtained but Mueller wants to make sure the most skeptical juror will be convinced. That means catching more liars lying. It is inevitable that Trump will be caught. He’s the biggest liar in the whole gang. The general population already seems convinced.

In theory, this might even work; in reality however, all modern states are forms of crypto socialism.

Indeed so. And enjoy very moderate growth at best, if any. Then EC will gather to analyze why EU falls behind USA in economic and scientific development, and come up with a plan to speed up its growth, only to find out in a few years that not only EU is not catching up, but not decreased the speed of falling behind.

  2. Someone wrote, “this runs counter to the “Russian collusion to get Trump elected” narrative”.

It’s very sophisticated. Everyone has something that ticks them off. Trump’s supporters have 1000 pet peaves that got them angry enough to vote. Hillary’s supporters had just a few: race and women’s issues. Hillary also was not exciting. Lack of anger and lack of issues resulted in her only getting 3 million more votes than Trump but it only took a few thousand angry Trump supporters in key states to turn the tide in a winner-take-all-electors sense.

I was in physics. There is a kind of particle accelerator called the “stochastic” accelerator. You just apply an electric field with random variation in strength versus time, just white noise, to charged particles confined in a magnetic field and they will accelerate because the ones that happen to be at the right place at the right time will get a nice push and come back for more. It’s not very efficient in terms of production but Trumpism didn’t need many voters, just discouraged Ds in key states and enraged Rs in key states made all the difference. The margins of voters in those states was just a few tens of thousands out of millions of voters. Trump is the random charged particle that just happened to be at the right place at the right time.

Another analogy: If you have a bunch of sleeping dogs, you only have to poke one to make a huge bunch of noise. That’s what social media did for Trump, put all this noise in an echo chamber which roused his supporters and turned off others. It didn’t help that most supporters of Hillary assumed she would win against this buffoon. That assumption relied on people actually voting. They didn’t and a bad thing happened. It’s a tragedy like a big airliner crashing. A bunch of things had to go wrong all at the same time, stuff that rarely go wrong, but at the right time and place…

  3. The Internet was used to flood millions with fake news damaging Hillary’s reputation.

And Motherboard was kind enough to share the content of those ads; ads supporting Bernie Sanders (as a multicolor superman), ads supporting black Lives Matter, ads opposing Black Lives Matter, ads targeting gun owners. Ads encouraging Muslim Americans to support Bernie Sanders, Ads supporting veterans, and yes, Ads favouring Trump, but also ads against him, ads highlighting Bernie’s positions on various Clinton related things. the ads catered to both the left and the right.

this is of course, being peddled as an attempt to “divide Americans”, but let’s be honest, America has been deeply divided for a long time, and this runs counter to the “Russian collusion to get Trump elected” narrative.

then there’s the obligatory bit about RT’s promoted stories (linked in the link at the bottom of the Motherboard article), which are newsworthy things every other outlet was running as well.

This wasn’t about getting Trump elected. this seems to be about playing on deep divisions in American society in order to sow turmoil (and this is much more along the playbook for a KGB-style psi-op, which isn’t all that different than how America instigates its “colour revolutions”), and all it took was a $100,000 ad campaign.

I question of effective the campaign was, given the ridiculousness of many of the ads, and the relatively small exposure they got (10 million people). If this campaign did cause the damage its being hyped up to have caused, it’s only because America was already a powder keg waiting for a spark.

It’s also contributed to a large and growing swath of American society to question American news media — which to be fair, was a long time coming; when the New York Times runs editorials promising to rededicate itself to honest journalism it probably isn’t to be trusted to begin with.

If this is all it takes to cause this kind of turmoil, the US is in serious trouble.

the more this explodes, the more it looks like Internet Research Agency (the “troll factory”) was hired less to promote Russian propaganda, and more as an SEO firm with a ridiculous but strangely effective strategy.

Small taxes enable these with the “old jobs that don’t make sense” to establish their own business and start making money. I know, leftists and CNNs all scream how these people should be given more allowances by the state, but that is totally wrong. The Chineese (Confucius) say: “Give a may a fish, and you feed him for a day; teach a man how to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime”. Low taxes allow people to fish.

In theory, this might even work; in reality however, all modern states are forms of crypto socialism.

“Why?” “And why Crypto?” you ask, well, let me explain…

The absolute best in fordistic and post-fordistic economy is a global, or, at least regional, or, at the very least, national monopoly. This reduces costs to the minimum (including the real, non financial, costs, such as worker time, pollution, etc) while maintaining high volume output.

If such a monopoly achieves a product portfolio that can serve nearly all customers (Microsoft and Windows are an example of this) economic needs are fullfilled, if not, multiple-monopolies are required (european car industry, all of them state sponsored entities, are such an example) this raises costs, but not by much since the number of players remains limited.

Remember, every added player ads its own costs of operation to gross-national-costs (interesting how nobody wants to talk abut this, eh), but at some point – often immediately – there is no more diversity to be gained from additional players-on-the-market.

Public utilities and financial sector are an extreme example of this issue, any privatisation can – and has, led to nothing else but high “product” prices and mass malpractice (more or less necessary, if they want to run a profit…).

As far as small companies are concerned… let’s cut the crap here, they are all but irrelevant. We live and die by the table of the mega-corps and governments, if they fail, which they may, given the incompetence of modern politics… it’s more or less game over.

(Without a single nuke blast to boot.)

Oh, about the “crypto” issue, well, as you can see, by your own example, most people hate nothing more than socialism; “Why, we cannnot afford to have all those undeserving leeches ruin the society!” the “reasonable” “majority” cries, fully failing to notice that most new jobs constitute nothing more than blowing air – and it must be so, since modern industrial economy can’t hope to ever employ more than a minuscule amount of workers in the real, actually productive, sector.

But we can’t let anyone know that most of us serve no (productive) purpose in our world, I mean what would the “reasonable” “majority” say and do, once it realised that it is itself the “undeserving leech.”

And so, socialism was well hidden behind a wall of un-needed government and private jobs, so as to allow the welfare receiving morons the ability to look down and feel that feeling of aloof righteous indignation that the post I’m responding to channels so well.

But then there is Trump, a new breed of politician, a breed so ignorant and so reckless that we may yet see the unraveling of the last remains of the government provided (yeah, deal with it) social fabric.

    Brace yourselves(TM).

    See http://www.scmp.com/tech/china-tech/article/1857948/chinese-os-last-more-40-cent-dell-pcs-china-now-running-homegrown

Someone’s running GNU/Linux desktops in China.

  6. Grece says:

None of which are using Linux on the Desktop.

  7. Deaf Spy posted an irrelevant link. That had nothing to do with GNU/Linux which is thriving in China. Even M$ uses it.

“Microsoft had said it was doubling its cloud computing capacity in China so that it could handle 200,000 local customers”

I realize there are over a billion people in China. M$ is merely tapping a tiny fraction of the potential cloud customers there. GNU/Linux is thriving.

See How China Mobile Is Using Linux and Open Source

“China Mobile is not the only player embracing Linux in this industry. Zhihong said that companies like Alibaba and Baidu also have internal groups whose job is to just build optimized Linux distributions for their own consumption. Not only does Linux cut costs heavily (you don’t have to pay millions of dollars to acquire subscriptions or licenses for thousands of machines), but the company can also fine tune it to get the most out of their network and infrastructure.”

China Mobile has 800 million customers in China. That’s performance.

EU immigrants want to work in UK because unemployment is low.

    This is non-sense.

The aforementioned people prefer UK because:
    1. Language: in these countries they teach English since kindergarten, and by working age people have at least some level of English they can get along with. Not true for any other EU language.
    2. Economy and wages: UK is among the strongest economies in UK.

Germany is highly preferred as well, but language is a barrier. People with lowest qualification who can do mostly cleaning and crop gathering go also to Spain, Italy and even Greece.

  10. Deaf Spy wrote, “unemployment in UK is low due to the number of EU immigrants that want to work there (Polish, Romanians, Bulgarians)”.

That’s nonsense. EU immigrants want to work in UK because unemployment is low. Deaf Spy confuses cause and effect.

  11. Deaf Spy says:

    Asking Google: 4.3% (Jun 2017)

Sigh. I warned you about Google education, Robert.

First, unemployment in UK is low due to the number of EU immigrants that want to work there (Polish, Romanians, Bulgarians):
    http://www.telegraph.co.uk/business/2016/08/17/uk-unemployment-dips-as-fewer-jobseekers-claimed-benefits-in-jul/

Second, native UKs are increasingly having issues:
    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-1255288/Three-generations—single-mothers-Growth-extended-man-free-families-rely-state-handouts.html
“More than half of single mothers whose mothers were still alive lived on state benefits, the report found. … Single mothers do not seem very interested in working. ”

    Socialism in action.

  12. Deaf Spy wrote, “Example: UK today”

    Asking Google: 4.3% (Jun 2017)

    US: 4.4% (Aug 2017)

OMG! UK is less socialist than USA!

In a modern society, ~4% is a normal level of unemployment. Young upwardly mobile people change jobs. Folks get fired. Businesses close up. People retire early and look for other work. People get laid off seasonally. Fishing/farming season ends. etc.

  13. Deaf Spy says:

Of course I know that. What you fail to understand is that Trump is also cutting taxes for the rich and the big corporations. Why?

Why not? There is absolutely nothing wrong in cutting taxes for the big corporations. Big corporations can and do afford to pay expert accountants who minimize their tax payments regardless of the regulations. Again, it is small businesses and consumers, i.e. common people, who provide the major source of tax income. Not corporations.

He’d love it if poor people would just starve to death …

As a typical leftist, you seem to be incapable of perceiving something very simple. Giving money to the poor does not improve their living, esp. in the long run.
On the contrary – all kinds of social financial assistance lead to higher unemployment, because people prefer simply not to work. Example: UK today.

Lowering taxes and reducing regulations* is the best way to provoke initiative in people and small companies to start businesses, expand, open job positions and raise salaries.

(Regulations are another all-time leftist favorite. They always think they know better than people and must control every aspect of common peoples’ lives. Like, how can someone open a hairdressing shop to do braids without a license you have to pay for? )

Robert, watching CNN is not enough, I am afraid. Some reading of Economics 101 would serve better.

  14. oiaohm wrote, of Trump, “So much for attempting to clean up the DC swamp he has attempted to make the swamp deeper many times.”

Trump is a liar. He lies more often than not. He doesn’t intend to drain the swamp but substitute his criminal brethern for the existing set. e.g. He’s really dedicated to “extreme vetting” of poor refugees fleeing death and destruction but he hires on random criminals for his inner sanctum. Look at John Kelly, for instance. Outwardly, this guy had everyone fooled that he was a no nonsense loyal kind of guy and now we know that he thinks folks should have compromised over slavery. What did he want, part time slavery? Slavery limited to 20 years? What amount of slavery of blacks is acceptable to John Kelly? Trump? Trumpists are the worst people found in USA. I don’t think Al Capone could hold a candle to the mass evil Trumpists contemplate. Capone was happy to syphon off a few $millions but Trump wants to enslave the whole of USA. He wants to be King Trump I of USA.

USA has one last chance to remain free. Dump Trump in 2018.

  15. oiaohm says:

    https://www.thedailybeast.com/ukraine-believes-paul-manaforts-crimes-go-beyond-money-laundering
Thing to remember if Paul Manafort is truly guilty of mass murder he had every reason to act solo to make sure Trump got in with the hope of getting diplomatic protection. USA has a history of protecting known war criminals.

It is very important that anyone in a inner circle is properly vetted. Trump side stop paying a particular investigator when he had a part report that was raising issues that something was wrong. The fact we know of one you have to ask how many more in Trump side are not properly vetted.

Reality we know of more by how many of trumps appointments have had to step down due to conflict of interest. Out of every president of the USA ever Trump already holds the record for number president of appointed people having to give up their position due to conflict of interest and we are not even that far into his term. So much for attempting to clean up the DC swamp he has attempted to make the swamp deeper many times.

  17. Deaf Spy wrote, “you fail to comprehend the most powerful driver of every successful modern economy – the small business, the entrepreneurship.”

Of course I know that. What you fail to understand is that Trump is also cutting taxes for the rich and the big corporations. Why? They are his buddies, the people he really likes. He’s lying about helping the little guy. He doesn’t know what being little means. He was the pampered son of a rich guy. His dad might have known what being small means but Trump never did. Trump is also intent on denying healthcare to the little guy. Why? Again, he likes rich people and to Hell with everyone else. He’d love it if deVos would cut meals to kids in poor neighbourhoods. He’d love it if poor people would just starve to death or die of pneumonia or childbirth.

Notice his treatment of the poor people of Puerto Rico. Their first responders have no roofs on their homes and they didn’t have fuel, food or water for a long time and Trump wanted them saving PR. He just doesn’t care about the poor. Why? He deems poor people have failed and are unworthy of support or assistance.

  18. Deaf Spy says:

Ignorant! The corporate world is awash with cash and unemployment is at a minimum. The old jobs aren’t coming back for good reason. They don’t make economic sense. These tax cuts will enrich shareholders and that’s it. Companies will buy back stock or increase dividends, not hire more employees for obsolete plants and industries.

A wonderful example of Google education. Corporations, Robert, are irrelevant. Your great mistake, Robert, is that you fail to comprehend the most powerful driver of every successful modern economy – the small business, the entrepreneurship.

Small taxes may not be enough, tough. What GOP / Trump are doing now is cutting down a large number of regulations, that drove many entrepreneurs out of business, or put a barrier too high.

That is why businesses are optimistic. I know leftists and CNN scream their lungs to sky, but that is simply because they are nothing but parasites used to live on state’s teat.

  19. Deaf Spy wrote, “Practice and history demonstrate that lower taxes always increase income into the budget in the long run.”

The world moves forward, not backwards. We use computers instead of pencils and papers largely. We use automobiles instead of horses and buggies. We use more plastic and aluminium and less steel. Businesses aren’t going to build factories and plants that were obsolete in the 1970s. There are going to be fewer jobs for the uneducated. Governments should be building more and better schools with existing taxes instead of spending $billions on a useless military and making rich people richer. Governments should provide universal education and healthcare and perhaps raise taxes a bit to pay for that.

The idea that M$ and others will retrieve their global $billions and pump up the USAian economy if Trump will bring in an unbalanced budget is ludicrous. M$ will be able to do the maths and realize that when Trump is gone and real politicians reclaim the reigns of power that the taxes will rise again taxing all those $billions fully. If the $billions are returned under Trump a “capital tax” will get the taxpayers justice again to make up for Trump’s kleptocracy. The money won’t come back. The rich won’t pay for the healthcare and education of the poor unless the government forces them to do that through taxation. Trump’s $billions are already in USA and he doesn’t pay hardly any taxes apparently, or he’d already have shown his taxation history. Expect Mueller to uncover Trump’s money-laundering and corruption just as he did Manafort’s and in an election year. Dems will have control of Congress again and impeachment of this tyrant will be item number one on the agenda.

  20. Deaf Spy says:

So, he proposes a budget that’s not balanced and the debt will ramp up at a huge rate. He wants to cut taxes for the rich and to Hell with the poor.

This is certainly not true. The lower corporate tax is good enough alone. Practice and history demonstrate that lower taxes always increase income into the budget in the long run. Higher taxes increases income only in short-term (leftist favorite, since they never plan for more than their current mandate) and result in reduced growth and unsustainable income to the budget in the long run.

Leftists are typically illiterate in Economics. Sadly this is so for CNN journalists as well.

  21. Grece says:

Yes, considering the national debt Robert, what part does the FED play into it, and what would happen if all the debt was paid off?

  22. Grece wrote, “focusing SOOOO much on one person is NOT healthy”.

Oh, this is not about Trump but Trumpism, the belief in Trump. We are witnessing mass hallucination involving waves of self-destructive behaviour. Trump and Bannon have told people they intend to destroy the government so that it will be better for ordinary people but the believers don’t care.

Trumpism is as serious as The Murdering Bastards, a cult of death/destruction. The believers think they are going to a heavenly state and no amount of destruction matters, the end justifying any means. Of course, Trumpism leads to disaster not a better way. Trump has no answers at all to the real problems of the day, just slogans. He’s not a deal-maker. He’s a deal-breaker and no one should trust him or his country until Trumpism subsides.

Consider the national debt. To Trump, it’s fine to blame Obama for increasing the national debt but Trump is doing exactly the same only faster. Trump doesn’t really care about the national debt, just throwing red meat to the believers. He thinks it will be just fine if USA quits paying its national debts. Poof! Problem solved! Ignore it! So, he proposes a budget that’s not balanced and the debt will ramp up at a huge rate. He wants to cut taxes for the rich and to Hell with the poor. He’ll be long gone before the grand kids of the poor have to fight wars all over and the economy goes down the drain. Trumpists are fine with that. They live for the moment. Beat someone. Deride them. Win some imaginary fight. That’s all they care about, not making anything better for anyone.

  23. Grece says:

Robert, do you stare at CNN all day while saying TRUMP’s name?

  24. Grece says:

RObert, you need to seek help, focusing SOOOO much on one person is NOT healthy.
