Failing USA

“Many anti-Trump Americans talked about leaving the US for Canada. This couple is actually doing it.”

See Fleeing Trump: Couple leaving the Carolinas for Canada
Although many USAians were horrified by the failure of USA to choose a sane POTUS and considered emigrating to Canada, most decided to hunker down and hope for the best or fight for a return to sanity in the near future. It’s good to see some young people stick to a reasonable path to freedom from Trump, moving to Canada. They are welcome and we are glad to share the best country on Earth with immigrants and refugees.

I think either choice is right for some people. Clearly Trump has done some damage but most of it is reversible and possibly as early as next year. Impeachment would help a lot… Perhaps the USAian democracy will be strengthened by getting so close to implosion but it hasn’t failed completely yet. Even though the GOP has control of everything federally except SCOTUS Congress is still capable of providing checks and balances to Trump. Let’s hope he doesn’t start too many wars in the meantime. He’s impeachable now but Congress has only had a few lips uttering the word so far. That could change any time. If I were running Congress, I’d hold an emergency joint session of Congress and impeach Trump today. There’s also the possibility that the cabinet could oust Trump as incompetent but there’s no consensus yet.

So, USA is sputtering but it hasn’t entered the failed state yet. USAians can make up their mind sooner rather than later and pull back from the brink of disaster.

Results are here already: “The unemployment rate hit a 16-year low in May”

Mainstream media congratulating the previous administration in 3… 2… 1…

  2. Deaf Spy says:

    That’s not a significant difference

Still a difference you refuse to explain. Btw, USA is still suffering from all the regulations Obama imposed over all these 8 years.

    And here it is:

  3. Kurkosdr says:

Robert!…Hillary is not “a sane POTUS”. For two reasons, one, being that she never achieved being elected POTUS and two, she is not sane to begin with.

Hillary is like Fifi, a liar and a fraud.

If Hilary is the best presidential candidate the Democrats could find in their party, with Sanders as second-best, then I guess they deserve every bit of Trump they have to endure. Seriously, an openly pay-to-play career politician (hint: her speaking fees) as best and a commie peddling ideas that became obsolete after the fall of the Berlin Wall as second best? Is this the best the Democrats could recruit?

You see, Republicans can afford to have awful presidential candidates like Dubya and Trump, because all a Republican presidential candidate has to do when campaigning is to say that women shouldn’t have access to abortion choices, and say it with a straight face, and he just got most of the Bible Belt votes, and those Bible Belt votes will act as a nice booster. In fact, a Republican presidential candidate has to be an awful person, because you need to be an awful person in order to say that women shouldn’t have access to abortion choices in 2017.

In contrast, the Democrats are supposed to be different. They are supposed to be the party for the educated part of America. The big problem is that this crowd won’t vote for Hilary or Sanders. The Democrats need to take back control of their party from the SJWs and the media-brainwashed drones. The primaries are right there, so they have the tools to do it. Otherwise, USA will get a lot more Trumps as presidents.

  4. Again, Deaf Spy spreads fake news: “At present, GDP PPP, 2016:
    – USA: $57,300
    – Canada: $46,200”

In fact, Canada had GDP per capita of 50231.90 USD in 2016 while USA had 52194.90 USD. That’s not a significant difference especially when you consider we have universal healthcare for half the cost of USA. BTW, Australia, where oiaohm lives, had 55670.90 USD per capita in 2016.

  5. Deaf Spy says:

    At present, GDP PPP, 2016:
    – USA: $57,300
    – Canada: $46,200
US economy is generating 24% for its people than Canadian’s. Fact.

What can you bring forward to explain this “miracle”?

  6. Deaf Spy says:

Proof: eliminate government to extremely stimulate the economy and watch the Dark Ages return

Eh, Robert, your statement is meaningless. Which period of human history do you mean with “Dark ages”? How can lack of government and regulations result in tolls and multiple standards? What standards those can be?

Then, you speak of proof. Where is exactly this proof to be seen? Can you point one place where this is happening / has happened last century or so?
I greatly suspect your proof is vaporware.

On contrary, everywhere the state meddles with licenses, fees, regulations like minimum wage, etc., results are inevitably slow economic growth and increased unemployment.

  7. Grece says:

Reagrding, ” the best country on Earth with immigrants and refugees.”

    Are you bat-shit crazy Robert?

Question: Are you insinuating that Canada is the best country on Earth because of immigrants and refugees, or Canada is the best country on Earth period?

It is a rather poignant that Canada is “the best country on Earth” due to immigrants and refugees, as that would require Canada to less then savory before the fact, eh?

  8. Grece says:

Robert, how many Canadians are leaving for America?

Also, Robert. America is a Republic NOT a Democracy, I have now mentioned this to you numerous times, please get your facts straight.

Robert!…Hillary is not “a sane POTUS”. For two reasons, one, being that she never achieved being elected POTUS and two, she is not sane to begin with.

Hillary is like Fifi, a liar and a fraud.

  10. Kurkosdr says:

Robert, are you watching television again?

Most old people do. The funny thing is that they treat all those TV presenters of their favorite channels as journalists representing integrity, lack of bias and facts, while in fact they are just mouth pieces in nice costumes.

Us millennials may read weird news sites, but at least we know most of it is bullshit.

Which is why we read sites from all sides of the spectrum, to get the whole view.

  11. Kurkosdr says:

Proof: eliminate government to extremely stimulate the economy and watch the Dark Ages return with multiple standards everywhere, tolls everywhere, war lords run the streets and distribution of food and water fails so we must return to subsistence farming or hunting/gathering. QED

I don’t want for the government to be eliminated, I want a government so small that I can barely see it. Much like any security and regulatory system (aka what the government should be), if you can see it when you don’t have a need for security or regulation, it has failed.

  12. Kurkosdr says:

At the same time, Democrats keep losing elections after elections. Just facts, you know.

Funny thing is that the Trump presidency is pretty much a lame duck presidency, because the traditional Republicans and RINOs won’t let Trump run amok with all his plans (Healthcare being the most prominent example). Yet Democrats are freaking out.

I am very eager to see what will happen in the mid-term elections. Will Trump manage to elect a “green and keen” Congress of his own people, or will traditional Republicans and RINOs continue to run the place? Just you be clear with my words, I think it could swing either way.

Robert, are you watching television again?

  14. Deaf Spy wrote, “state regulations will not increase and even be reduced, which translates as an immediate boost to the economy”.

Nonsense! Proof: eliminate government to extremely stimulate the economy and watch the Dark Ages return with multiple standards everywhere, tolls everywhere, war lords run the streets and distribution of food and water fails so we must return to subsistence farming or hunting/gathering. QED

  15. Deaf Spy says:

Seeing how markets and US industry go, you might be wrong. Business expectations are that state regulations will not increase and even be reduced, which translates as an immediate boost to the economy. Small businesses rule, you know. At the same time, Democrats keep losing elections after elections. Just facts, you know.
