Gold In The Hills And Valleys

“Qatar. The latest terror attacks in London. The upcoming U.K. election. More drama in the Trump administration as former FBI director James Comey is set to testify in front of Congress Thursday.

Is that enough turmoil for you?”

I hate Trump. He breaks everything he touches and now he sits in the Oval Office. OTOH, if he doesn’t send us all to Hell quickly one day, I may benefit largely thanks to Trump. When he’s promised the world and built up hopes of Utopian tax-regimes and walls that will never be built and universal healthcare that won’t be universal nor affordable by anyone who isn’t well off, reality will creep in and everything will crash down around our ears and people will buy gold, lots of it. Fortunately, I have shares in a company with lots of gold in the ground. If the price rises or they dig it out, I’m laughing at current prices. If things go as I expect, the price will rise dramatically.

So, in every cloud there is a silver lining. It’s too bad so many will be hurt by this man before the GOP gains enough spine to impeach him. What does he have to do? Shoot someone?

It is important but it won’t happen. Putin and corrupt leaders in USA will make sure they try different tacks next time. Meanwhile USA will just understand what was done in 2016. It is very hard to stay ahead of a quickly changing tactical situation. The best solution would be to eliminate Putin somehow but that is likely to lead to war. Eliminating Trump is the easiest quick fix. If justice can come quick enough to affect the next election it might dampen temptation to sell out again.

We still don’t know for sure but the simplest explanation is the best one IMHO. Trump is at the centre of this and he called his minions to coordinate with Putin selling their souls and USA to Putin for a few dollars and an edge in the elections. The best short term solution is to get all Democrats and liberals out to vote next time. That combined with disillusionment of the unemployed, elderly and sick should be enough to ensure the GOP never gains control of government again without having a proper platform respecting the rights of all. Universal healthcare will be the last nail in the coffin of this ghoulish assault on human dignity.

IGnatius T Foobar really not a landslide. The reason why the election is being looked at for invalid actions is how small the difference was between winning and losing.

If trump had got in by a Landslide the difference would have been large enough that the illegal votes on either side could be ignored. The fact trump did not get in with Landside and suspect dealing detect this means it questionable if he will do term.

Please note there is suspect dealing that put Hillary Clinton a head of Bernie Sanders. So the complete election could have gone way differently without the interference. Of course its important to plug things up so it does not happen at the next election.

  3. Comrade Pogson is experiencing what is well known as “Trump Derangement Syndrome”. As a liberal, he is incapable of thought, so he greedily gulps down whatever the liberal media feeds him, thinking those thoughts are his own.

The truth is that President Trump is the greatest leader of our era. He was elected in a landslide (which includes the popular vote if you deduct fraudulent votes), is highly regarded by the people of the United States (Canada and the liberal media don’t count), and is largely succeeding in bringing security and prosperity to the nation (the DJIA tells the unvarnished truth).

But I have to say, of all the properties Mr. Trump owns, the skyscrapers and casinos are much more attractive than the space he owns inside Mr. Pogson’s brain.

While EVs may be a good market for copper they may also be a good market for aluminium because of the weight/density of the two metals. I expect if copper rises much in price, aluminium will be used more.

The heaviest usage of copper these days is in home-building. It’s quite cyclical and is a commodity. Gold has more leverage in difficult times which I’m sure Trump generates. He can’t help wrecking things. It’s what he does. Folks brag about his accomplishments but he left a lot of bankruptcies and unpaid bills in his wake. He dodged the draft and a lot of taxes just for losing other people’s money. He doesn’t even attempt a balanced budget… Down goes the USD. Up goes gold. It’s OK as long as global nuclear war doesn’t break out… I’m OK. I’m Canadian and heavy into gold.

Trump has violated most rules of decency for months if not years and it won’t take much movement for the Congress to realize this farce has to end, sooner rather than later.

“Rules of Decency” is not an impeachable offense.

Even Trump’s voters are in disbelief. When they realize the old economy isn’t coming back they turn on Trump. I don’t think any of his promises except SCOTUS have gone well and it’s clear he can’t make a good deal if his presidency depended on it. Nor is he a good manager with constant infighting and betrayal now the norm.

Republicans voters are not in disbelief, name one if you can. The president doesn’t control the economy, the Federal Reserve does that.

Only anarchists who want to destroy USA will stick with him and there aren’t many of those except Putin’s agents..

ANTIFA anarchists are NOT aligned with Trump you old bat, get your story straight. Putin’s agents?…LOL….I’, telling you stop listening/reading/watching CNN. They are nothing but FAKE NEWS Robert.

  7. Ever heard of “the straw that broke the camel’s back”, Grece? Trump has violated most rules of decency for months if not years and it won’t take much movement for the Congress to realize this farce has to end, sooner rather than later. In some ways Pence may be no better but he’s not deliberately asinine. You can see that in the polling over time. Only anarchists who want to destroy USA will stick with him and there aren’t many of those except Putin’s agents..

Doesn’t look like your dreams of having Trump impeached, has much weight behind it Robert.

  9. Grece says:

What “high crimes and misdemeanours” are you referencing Robert?

  10. Deaf Spy wrote, “He was duly elected by millions of Americans. “

Well there are millions more USAians who feel he’s not doing a good job than otherwise. They can tell their reps to give him the hook.

  11. Deaf Spy says:

Perhaps it makes you even crazier than you are, Robert, but Donald Trump is the President of the United States. He was duly elected by millions of Americans. Millions of Americans chose him to guide the nation and command the military.

You may dream on of impeachment, of course, just like you do with your mythical ARM micro-server motherboard and your Solo EV. But these are just dreams.

  12. Grece wrote, “there is no contract holding them liable”.

Yet Congress can impeach POTUS for “high crimes and misdemeanours” and they are the judge and jury.

  13. Grece says:

Robert… all politicians lie. You are now just finding this out??

There is no obligation, for any politician to carry out any of the things they they stated, from the soapbox, as there is no contract holding them liable.

    See O’Reilly v. Mitchel, 85 Misc. 176, 148 N.Y.S. 88 (Sup. Ct. 1914)

Read that a few times, and let that sink in.

  14. Grece wrote, “The likelihood of Trump being impeached, is about as likely as you obtaining a SOLO.”

Trump was considered an asset by many GOP members. When a significant number feel he’s not an asset he could be impeached promptly by some GOPers and the Dems. It might be possible for some faction to block that move but OTOH the Dems and rebel GOPers could stall the government until the matter is properly considered. The Congress has pretty good basis in law to consider anything impeachable: lying would be my top choice but obstructing justice would be a close second, treason would be a third choice. Perhaps they will enumerate all three. There’s plenty of evidence.

I pick lying because Trump does that on a daily basis and he told plenty of lies during the campaign as well as while in office. A pattern of lying is a better basis for impeachment than any particular instance. It’s easy to find that pattern, just search for “Fake News” and Trump, Obamacare and Trump, or “bad deal”/NAFTA/NATO/Wall and Trump. Treason probably requires reliance on classified information and would not be very satisfying except that it might result in Trump spending his last days in prison. There is also a possibility that Treason in a time of war would get him the death-penalty but that’s a stretch. I do know he has endangered an entire military base in Qatr with his latest shenanigan between him colluding with the Saudis and the Russians. He’s supposed to be POTUS not Putin’s right hand man in USA.

  15. Grece says:

The likelihood of Trump being impeached, is about as likely as you obtaining a SOLO.
