Trump An Agent Of Rage, Not Change

“Why has the peso enjoyed such a massive rebound? Investors believe the most severe of Trump’s trade threats may not come to fruition. And Mexico’s central bank has taken steps to buoy the battered currency.
Trump administration officials signaled in a draft memo to Congress this week that they don’t plan a wholesale rewrite of NAFTA, the free trade deal between the U.S. Canada and Mexico.”

In four years, Trumpism will be just a bad memory in the dust of history. Trump is an agent of rage, not change. He got into power by manipulating the media and stoking anger against various strawmen while accomplishing nothing once in power. All his edicts can be written out by the next president’s pen and the world will go on with or without USA participating in the economy, culture or humanitarian endeavours. His swamp is deeper and darker than anything that came before. The ethics of his inner circle are a benchmark that will not soon be equalled. He’s told more lies per hour than any ordinary politician, actor or newsman tells in years. Meanwhile, he and his friends are getting richer while his voters continue to starve.

Trump started out with lots of name-recognition/media savvy from “The Apprentice”.

Yeah Hillary Clinton was a complete unknown. She had to spend millions flooding social media just to get name recognition.

Thanks. I hadn’t noticed. I still like Uruguay where M$’s desktop share is ~80%.

Off-topic: Anybody else noticed that, ever since Statcounter started reporting Windows marketshare as a whole, Pog can’t hand-pick comparisons between the whole of “*/Linux” and a specific version of Windows?

Windows is still the OS with the best hardware support (I consider a nice Nvidia card and Windows as complementary goods) and the largest software ecosystem in desktops and laptops. Sorry Pog.

Trump started out with lots of name-recognition/media savvy from “The Apprentice”. He milked that in the campaign by doing/saying outrageous things to keep the coverage coming. At some stage there’s no such thing as “bad publicity”. It’s all an act. Trump is clearly a liberal pretending to be conservative just as he pretends to be for the little guy and coal. He doesn’t care about anything except keeping the ratings up so the crowd will pay attention. He probably believes he’s so popular the courts would never dare put him in jail nor the Congress impeach him.

Manipulating the media? How so?? They were all against him, no one even expected Trump to win.
