It is often said in the world of IT/software that a firm “eats their own dog-food” meaning they use the product they sell/produce. I have been doing the same. This is breakfast:
- hamburger bun baked in my kitchen from 50% whole and 50% white wheat flour,
- home made salami made from lean ground beef in my kitchen,
- ripe bell pepper picked minutes ago from the garden,
- ripe tomatoes picked minutes ago from the garden, and
- mayonnaise from the store…
It’s good to eat the fruits of one’s labour. For IT I recommend Debian GNU/Linux, a cooperative project of the world. The world can and does make its own software.

Why don’t you make your own mayonnaise? You need eggs and vegetable oil, and some lemons. You could even use milk instead of oil and make the mayonnaise more healthier than ever, though with a trade in the taste.
For her own reasons, the little woman forbids making mayo… We have all the ingredients.
That’s super, Mr. Pogson. But it’s not as if you have a real job. Other people do.

Perhaps you should be doing your “real job” instead of wasting your employers time hanging out here whining about nothing? Back to work slacker moron!
If you are attempting to enjoy the fruit of “your own labor” shouldn’t you be using Linux From Scratch?

Oh, didn’t you know? I’m a paid Microsoft shill. This is part of my work.
Do you know the concept of work? No, it’s not about slacking off in your parents’ basement and watching internet porn.
