According to this query on my Wikimedia database, that could be so:
“agents=> select sum(count) as c from data where string ilike ‘%x11%’ and not string ilike ‘%bot%’ and not string ilike ‘%crawl%’ and not string ilike ‘%spider%’ and string ilike ‘%fi-fi%’;

Well, I wonder how the competition is doing…

Well, maybe it means Finland is actually disloyal to M$… or even loyal to UNIX-like operating systems. */Linux is 35.64% of the sample. That other OS is the “1% number.

Clearly, my stats have a rather small sample from Finland… Still, I consider Wikipedia a neutral site and we have some stats from them so I use that. The world would be better off if every ISP and search engine published their stats.
@aardvark
I now direct you towards the nearest calendar. Yes, you’re going to have use your brain for deductive reasoning (it’s so hard, I know).
Oh and aardvark, maybe you should go and drown yourself in vodka. You don’t know shit about Finland.
Ummm Linux is great and I’m a big fan but Windows has the same monopoly here as everywhere else – unfortunately
aardvark insults an entire country because he thinks they might be accepting GNU/Linux.
aardvark thinks in extremes and absolutes. In his simplistic mind, it’s easier to deal with things that way. To aardvark every citizen of Finland is a drunken idiot who runs around killing his neighbors.
Good one aardvark.
aardvark is a representative of the kind of person who believes in Microsoft’s products. A representative of someone who trusts and uses Microsoft’s products. aardvark is the kind of person who would belittle anyone if he thought it would make Microsoft look just a little bit better.
In aardvark’s world the only way to make Microsoft look good is to make someone else look bad. Typical Cult of Microsoft.
Let’s hear your lame excuse for yourself aardvark.
Finland?
Well, I suppose you gotta start somewhere.
I understand that Helsinki is a very pretty place indeed, and the Finns are also keen on guns (see various high school massacres).
Huge consumption of vodka, beating themselves with birch-twigs, and also the home of a celebrated manufacturer of gum-boots who turned to making small smart thingies instead (followed by selling themselves out to the Dark Side).
Yes, you might want to consider emigrating to Finland yourself, Mr Pogson. I’m not sure what the Little Lady would think.
